COVID-19 booster vaccine programme for winter 2021 to 2022

 

The Joint Committee of Vaccination and Immunisation advises people who received the COVID-19 vaccine in phase 1 of the vaccination programme (priority groups 1 to 9) should be offered a COVID-19 booster vaccine. This includes:

  •       those living in residential care homes for older adults
  •       all adults aged 50 years or over
  •       frontline health and social care workers
  •       all those aged 16 to 49 years with underlying health conditions that put them at higher risk of severe COVID-19 and adult carers
  •       adult household contacts (aged 16 or over) of immunosuppressed individuals

Information to support informed consent for a COVID-19 booster vaccine for these groups will be available at www.nhsinform.scot/covid19vaccine.
